Not that Janet was an abusive person, she was simply negligent and too immature to raise a child. Of course, now Winter was subject to Janet. Antsel (another Nit) and Clover switch her with Janet Frore’s newborn daughter, saving the poor girl from a lifetime of misery. Winter is a one-time resident of Foo who forsook her life there to revert back to an infant on earth. In essence, a sycophant is a kind of guide who helps the Nits start out their new life there. Nits, or humans transported to Foo under specific conditions, receive a gift (they can manipulate ice, see through dirt, etc.) and can manipulate dreams the best. Sycophants are creatures from Foo who aid Nits when they are brought to Foo by fate.
It was here that he first encountered one of Sabine’s shadows and Clover, his sycophant. He was even forced to sleep on the porch. They are unhappy people who kept Leven around to do the cleaning and other manual labour. His mother died giving birth to him and left him in the care of Terry and Addy Graph. Leven Thumps lives in an unremarkable town called Burnt Colvert in Oklahoma. The key to stopping him lies in the hands of a single boy: Leven Thumps. It is on the brink of war as Sabine attempts to unite Foo with earth. Foo is the land where all humanities dreams are manipulated. ‘Leven Thumps and the Gateway to Foo’ is the first book in a series of five. I have a few minutes now so I decided to crank one out. Been trying to prepare for the move overseas and have had to put this on the sidelines. uh, just to get my son to keep reading.I know it has been a while since I last posted something. Now, I just need to find that next great series. Each series and book includes tremendous life lessons for both children and adults.
These books were a great vacation, and every time I picked them up felt as if I were transported to another world. My type of reading is John Sanford, Patricia Cornwell and Tammy Hoag. They are all very good, and I highly recommend them. The Leven Thumps books are good, if I had to rate each series, I would rate the Percy Jackson books 1st, Fablehaven 2nd, and Leven Thumps 3rd.
I turned to Amazon and found the Leven Thumps as well as the Percy Jackson books. The series was amazing (I can't wait for the last book) and he wouldn't stop reading! (Getting him to read is difficult.) After that, I had to find him another cool series to devour. I thought, if nothing else, we will have something to talk about. He was writing book reports that made me decide to read the series. My son (12) read the Fablehaven series which was a gift to him from his grandmother.
